ARTWORK TITLE: Purple Hive

SITE: Keyes Art Mile,  21 Keyes Ave, Rosebank, Johannesburg

ARTWORK DESCRIPTION: The artwork was the selected winner for the Amex Art Challenge run by Keyes Art Mile to reimagine the facade of its Trumpet Building. The theme for this year’s challenge was “Jacaranda” 


‘Purple Hive’ was inspired by the connection between bees and the purple jacaranda flower. The installation is a series of magnets affixed to the steel facade.

PLNTH produced the mural
This included: facilitating access equipment for working at heights, mural installation management.
